Infobit Expands Fibre Range with DH-F300

Infobit has expanded its fibre-based signal distribution range with the release of the iTrans DH-F300, a DP/HDMI 4K60 fibre extender designed for high-bandwidth video transmission over extreme distances.

Built around a DisplayPort/HDMI combo (HDDP) interface, the iTrans DH-F300 supports both DisplayPort and HDMI signals on input and output, automatically detecting the format in use. INFOBIT says the extender has been developed to give integrators maximum flexibility when working across mixed-source environments.

The unit supports video resolutions up to 4K at 60 Hz, with full compliance to HDCP 2.3, DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode, and HDMI bandwidths up to 18 Gbps. All standard VESA resolutions are supported, alongside HDR formats including HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG.

One of the key strengths of the DH-F300 is its long-distance performance. Using a single-mode fibre optic cable, the extender supports transmission distances of up to 10 km, making it suitable for large venues, campuses, control rooms, and broadcast applications. Multi-mode fibre is also supported via SFP modules, with distances of up to 300 m over OM4.

Audio support includes LPCM 7.1, Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS:X, while EDID data is passed from receiver to transmitter to simplify system integration. The compact form factor is designed to support flexible installation in racks or space-constrained AV environments.

INFOBIT also confirms the iTrans DH-F300 can be mixed with the company’s iTrans UC-F300 USB-C fibre extenders, allowing for hybrid fibre system designs across USB-C, HDMI, and DisplayPort workflows.
