Following a major multi-stage renovation, Bondi Icebergs was transformed into The Bergs, a modern hospitality venue designed to support a wide range of simultaneous experiences, from casual dining and sports viewing to private functions and live entertainment.
To match the venue’s new level of flexibility, Showtime Production Services delivered a scalable multi-zone AV system built around WyreStorm NetworkHD AV over IP, giving the venue a powerful and adaptable video distribution platform across its LCD and custom LED displays.

The Bergs was not intended to be a one-purpose venue. The space needed to handle multiple events at once, often across different areas of the venue, with the ability to route different content to different zones depending on the occasion.
Staff needed an intuitive way to switch between live TV, streaming content, and local sources without complexity, while the system itself needed to support quick turnaround between events and remain flexible enough to grow with the venue over time. In a hospitality setting like this, reliability and ease of operation are just as important as performance.
WyreStorm NetworkHD provided flexibility at the core of the installation. The system was configured with 9 x NHD-120-TX AVoIP Encoder units for TV and HDMI inputs, 2 x NHD-120-RX AVoIP Decoder units, 2 x NHD-150-RX Multiview Decoder units, and 1 x NHD-CTL-PROV2 NHD controller, enabling high-quality video distribution across the venue with the freedom to display either single sources or multiwindow layouts depending on the zone and event requirement.
Paired with Netgear AV Line PoE switching, the platform gave Showtime Production Services a dependable AV-over-IP backbone that was fast to deploy, easy to configure, and ready to scale in the future.
Tablet-based control kept day-to-day operation straightforward for staff, while the modular architecture means additional zones, displays, or sources can be added without major infrastructure changes.
